Poo-Poo Update

Nicholas pooped on the potty again this morning.  Boy, that makes my day.  I DO NOT LIKE CHANGING POOPY DIAPERS!  IT'S REALLY GAGGING ME!  

So I stalked him for about 40 minutes.  on the potty, off the potty, on the potty, off the potty.  THEN I saw him pause in the kitchen and BAM, I scooped him up and put him on the potty and BINGO! 

Seriously, I do not remember changing Joseph's poopy diapers and it bothering me so much.   Maybe it's because I'm getting older that it's really getting to me!

Once he's recovered from his surgery, we're potty-training!

New Friends, Ms. E and Ms. S

Nicholas has made some new friends in the last month.  We met Ms. E at the park in Troy and we drove to Decatur to meet Ms. S.  Both are adorable little girls that are Nicholas' age.   It's been surprising that he's been a little shy around the girls since he's usually so outgoing, but I think it was because Big Bro Joseph wasn't with him to be his wingman.

New Haircut

Joseph wanted his hair cut short so we did it.  I have to say it took my breath away with the first swipe of the clippers across his head because it was so short, but when Joseph looked in the mirror while sitting on the 4-wheeler "chair," he said, AWESOME!  I LOVE IT!

It makes him look like such a grown-up little boy, but it makes him happy for two reasons: 

1.  His hair is now like Daddy's, and
2.  He looks like Paul! 

Quick Post during Nap

Had to post some pictures of the boys because, of course, they are so cute together. 

Found this old excercise mat (and for those who know me well, we know it's very old) and it was quite a hit! So the boys had a night of wrestling, bathtime, wrestling and art time.   and our dog, haley, found a new place to settle in, a new chair pad that they boys played with also.

oh, yeah. must take a moment to brag.... Nicholas went poo-poo on the BIG potty this morning. Yes, that's right. 2 years, 3 months old poo-poo on potty. i just shared with a friend yesterday how much i have not missed this diaper thing the past couple of years. so after nicholas' surgery in october we're on to serious potty training. oh, yeah, he also pee-peed in the potty first thing this a.m.
