Nicholas' Accomplishments in 10 days at home

Nicholas has accomplished the following:

• He has overcome his fear of dogs.  He actually runs through the house with the dogs barking and running right beside him. 
• He has become quite independent.  He plays by himself and also follows his brother around without worrying where Mom is at.
• He has learned water is not so bad.  He actually sat in the bathtub last night with Joseph and played in the water.  I only wiped him off a bit.  Didn't want to let him know he was actually being cleaned while playing. 
• He has learned:   Hey!  There's water everywhere in the house.  Not only the dog bowls, but.... the toilet bowls!  Yep, caught him with his hands in there today.
• He no longer dislikes the car seat.  Actually is trying to help me buckle it up!
• He is challenging his brother on who can make the bigger mess of the toys.
• He slept for 12 hours without waking!

It's absolutely amazing how well he's adjusted with us.  It's like he's been here forever.  Never dreamed he would blend in so well so quickly.    Wish us luck though.  We still have his cleft surgery to undergo and I hope that doesn't traumatize him too much!
